Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 8, 2025, as Kansas City’s creative community gathers for Alternative Timelines, our sixth annual gala
The evening features a cocktail reception, interactive art exhibits, a celebratory program with live music and honors for our supporters. Expect an unforgettable night that celebrates creativity and community spirit.
At NDKC gala’s attendants are rewarded for the fabulousness! Are you ready for the challenge? Guests are encouraged to come dressed for the “Alternative Timelines” theme, think time travelers, steampunk adventurers, retro-futuristic visions, or any creative twist on past and future. Past winners have dazzled in futuristic fashions and nostalgic glamor, turning the gala into a lively costume party.

Entertainment
Jamogi & The Jammers bring energetic horn lines and joyful harmonies to the gala. This Kansas City ensemble blends funk, pop, and soul into a dance-worthy performance, just the kind of “good time” that will keep you moving
Interactive Art
Artist Justin Canja presents a special participatory installation. Known for his playful mixed-media works, Caja’s exhibit will let you help create the art. For one night only, be a part of a Justin Canja installation.

Dress Code
Is this out favorite part of the evening? MAYBE! Festive, thematic attire is encouraged. Channel your own version of an “Alternative Timeline”, whether that’s steampunk chic, futuristic glamor, retro revival, or something entirely unique. Prizes will be awarded to the most creative costumes.
