Come As You Are (CAYA) aims to change that by making concert music more open, interactive, and accessible to all. 2026: Composer and Choreographers in the Theater
Come As You Are 2026 invites audiences of all ages into a joyful exploration of vulnerability, connection, and creative expression through music and movement. In partnership with The Coterie Theatre and Owen/Cox Dance Group, this year’s iteration brings together emerging composers and choreographers who have crafted new works inspired by writing from The Coterie’s Project Pride youth participants.
Designed for children, families, and first-time concertgoers, the performance celebrates authentic storytelling in a welcoming, accessible theatre space, emphasizing inclusivity, emotional growth, and the power of artistic collaboration.

2025 Theme: Opera for Young Audiences
The 2025 Come As You Are was a sucessfull afternoon where KC enjoyed three micro operas designed for children and their families. These works encourages social-emotional learning while exploring CAYA’s core themes of inclusivity, accessibility, and creative expression.
